The purpose of base isolation is to absorb earthquake energy, prolong the life structure, and enable structure be similar a rigid body. However, since resonance can occur due closeness period structures long large velocity pulses near field earthquakes, stability these buildings greatly reduces, with displacement above level, sometimes, tendency overturning created in isolators leading their destruction. main objective this study significantly reduce lateral subjected earthquakes. In research, seismic response calculation has been carried out for five steel moment frame 3, 5, 8, 11, 14 stories two states without stiff core energy dissipaters. analyses done under fourteen scaled records seven near-source far-source It shown that system reduced by 87% low-rise buildings, 77% high-rise buildings.
